Kathryn  Hobbs

Biography

Since 2002, Kathryn Hobbs has worked on a wide range of 51²è¹Ý projects as a senior researcher. Currently she is working on the Exploring Data Science Through the Lens of Civics Education and the Biomimicry As an Authentic Anchor projects.  Much of her past work has focused on the development and facilitation of community-based websites for several NSF educational constituencies, including MSPnet, IGERT.org, and currently the STEM for All Video Showcase. As a former high school Biology teacher, Kathryn is also very interested in science inquiry and curriculum development, at all levels.

Kathryn has also served as a member of 51²è¹Ý’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), as well as some other 51²è¹Ý-wide initiatives and committees.

Outside of 51²è¹Ý, Kathryn has served on the School Committee and the High School Building Committee for her local Massachusetts town. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
