Biography

Annie Sussman joined 51²è¹Ý in 2015 to support the development and writing of the 3rd edition ofÌýInvestigations in Number, Data and Space. Since the publication of the curriculum in 2017, Annie’s work has focused on both developing and facilitating professional learning for teachers, and on STEM education research.

Currently, Annie is a member of the Forum for Equity in Elementary Mathematics, where she develops resources and designs and facilitates online and in-person professional development to support mathematics teaching and learning. She is also member of the Climate and Equity Project team, which isÌýresearching content, resources, and pedagogical strategies to best support teaching about climate change and equity across widely diverse school and community contexts.

Annie is passionate about the intersection of learning, design and technology and brings a strong background in education, teacher training, instructional design and web design to her work at 51²è¹Ý.
