Annie Sussman and Megan Murray recently published the article 鈥淓xcursions: Activities That Foster Mathematical Belonging鈥� in NCTM鈥檚 magazine, Mathematics Teacher: Learning and Teaching PK鈥�12. The article explores how real-world, culturally connected math activities can help students see themselves in mathematics, increase participation, and foster a stronger sense of belonging in the classroom.
